For all you Bloggers - I am not much aware as to how many of you have really thought of wordpress as a serious alternative to blogspot.How does wordpress help you ? What is the advantage of having a domain name instead of a subdomain blogname on blgospot.com or any other blog service for that instance.Most of you will be thinking , when blogspot is providing free of cost blogs , why to buy a domain name host it spend money on hosting and domains.

Well let me tell you “there is no free lunch my friends” . May be you are not aware how much of money you can make online with your blogs, how many affiliate programs, adnetworks for publishers and methods blog monetization exisits on web.

Well let me tell you a success story.I was a blogger who beginned my first days of blogging with blogspot.com like anyother blogger today.And i used to spend a lot of time, writing my blogs and trying to popularize it.But i had very little success, i was thinking of alternative so that i can benefit say financially from my blogs.Then i started going through many other popular blogs, but could find that they were also on blogspot.com and other blog networks.They were claiming that they are making so much of money a month, it was quite unbelievable i wrote to them and got to know that in reality it is not that much as what they claims infact almost quarter of it.

Something started to prick me suddenly , that is, there are many websites not blogs which are drawing unbelievable amount of traffic, having high page ranks, huge monetizations, i am not naming them but there are many, i tried getting in touch and their advice was to try for a content management system to host my blog.I started searching and I came across wordpress,drupal and joomla.I found that joomla and drupal is much high on the technical side, but for a guy like me who was not much into programming was finding life tough customizing joomla and drupal.I wanted to try my luck with wordpress , i setup my localhost and tried installing wordpress, and believe it or not, it is 10000 times easier and customizable to max.

I bought a domain name by name www.bollywoodcelebritynews.com , and got it hosted all at a price of 80 dollars, this story is mostly an year back, now the hosting prices have slashed down unbelievably.I am a bollywood freak , i put in my heart and soul in the project, to write contents and collect some good pictures and videos and believe it or not, the traffic started increasing drastically, from just 10 or 50 pageviews - it improved to 1000 - 2000 unique visitors a day with more than 12000 pageviews.

Well i will give you a brief as to what i did - I installed wordpress from my control panel, configured MySql easily with PHP MyAdmin (dont go by the name they are all very easy to use). I logged into my wordpress admin panel for the very first time, you guys cant believe to see what all options i had how worth was that 80 dollars that i have invested for an year on a linux server.

I downloaded some nice wordpress theme using google search on wordpress themes , i just downloaded them and uploaded into my ftp - wpcontent/themes.Well now i was happy with the look and feel of my site, but how to get more features, widgets and plugins running on my sites.Well i started searching through the web for some cool wordpress plugins, there were many to be exact , but i found that in the wordpress.com there are plugins which are cleanly described in terms of functionality installation and customization. I downloaded them and upload into my ftp-wpcontent/plugins folder, and all i had do was to click on the plugins button in my wp-admin area.I found it really easy to use and the plugins were working perfectly well, and was showing up on the frontend of my site really well.And i was pretty happy with the results.

My next concern was to monetize my blog after all that traffic that flows into my site.As usual i started searching for blog monetization methods on google search, even though therewere many of them , but i couldn’t quite understand as to how they help m ein monetization.That was when i came across google ads.I logged into the google adsense website, and i started to fill the form for adsense account, even though it was a pretty normal form, one particular form field struck my eye, which says email and in bracket they had written (*should match with the domain name) , which means unless and until you dont have a domain name purchased on your name and get the hosting done, it is impossible to even think of an adsense account.And when i went to many other ad networks like axill, adbrite, and tyroo they all were suggesting the samething with the email thing, which shows the importance of an own domain name.I hope so i am pretty clear on what i am saying.

Well you will still be wondering  , everything is fine, what is the success story and why wordpress? well guys’ today i earn more than 500-700 dollars a month through all those ad networks.I will be providing you all those elements which helped me reach this stage
